Arm Balance Workshop

APRIL 20th 2.30pm-4pm at Brooklyn yoga project

Learn the essential actions and movements to do an arm balancing poses.This workshop will help you better understand the mechanics and leverage of arm balances and how to integrate these poses into your practice. Some of the poses that we’ll go through are crow pose, flying splits II, side crow, eight angle pose etc. Playing with arm balances is a perfect opportunity to expand your yoga practice by creating space to find steadiness and ease while doing more challenging postures. This workshop is for everyone who wants to learn the techniques to help you get into and hold balancing poses.

Wheel Pose Workshop

MAY 20th 1-2.30pm at Heatwise Brooklyn Heights

Wheel pose (Urdhva Dhanurasana) can be intimidating. In this workshop, you’ll spend 90 minutes building the foundations and learning the alignment to find your wheel and bring you into the pose safely. You will explore and begin to understand what your hips, spine and shoulders are doing in this backbend. You can easily apply these techniques to any backbend. All levels are welcome. This workshop will not be heated.

Backbend Workshop

APRIL 8th 2-3.30pm at Brooklyn Yoga Project

This backbend workshop will work on techniques for fundamental backbending as well as working with advanced postures such as camel, bridge, wheel, bow, dancer and other heart opening postures. Learn why backbends are so powerful and how to do them safely. All while finding the breath within the shape and opening up the heart.
